Wide screen multi-sensor based
microscope stage incubator
|
We developed a new standard in microscope stage incubation. Our wide screen smart
incubator represents the technological breakthrough we achieved in 2006
in cooperation with scientist experts of time-lapse live cell imaging. The new generation of
microscope incubators solves
the problems that you may experience using liquid heating or other less hi-tech methods. Smart
means not only a cutting edge technology but also twice more cost effectiveness than the
competitors offer. Patent pending.
Real 0.1 °C accuracy !
In situ tests prove that in spite of the hypes most microscope
incubators fail to keep 0.1 °C temperature homogeneity and temporal
stability on your microscope stage. Heat transfer to the stage and objective lens can cause
inhomogeneities of several degrees, and the low
heat capacity of stage incubators makes them sensitive to environmental temperature
fluctuations. Cells feel cold or can be exposed to heat shock in these incubators.
CellMovie incubators offer extremely precise and stable control of the
temperature with minimal spatial inhomogeneity for several types of
culture dishes. Cells enjoy to be photographed in a CellMovie incubator.
Multi-sensor technology
CellMovie applies multi-sensor based incubation: the
temperature is monitored by miniature semiconductor sensors at several locations inside the
incubator. Corresponding electronic heater units warrant uniform temperature
distribution inside the incubator. High spatial
homogeneity and temporal stability of temperature guaranteed: 37.0 ± 0.1 °C.
Wide screen
The wide screen makes easy the observation of cells in a range of culture
dishes. Glass bottom and cover are heated by ITO
coating. Our incubator is hermetically closed.
Steaming up is eliminated. No water condensation appears in the light path.
Objective friendly bottom
Wide screen CellMovie incubator was engineered to accommodate microscope objectives even
at very high magnification.
CellMovie
incubators are compatible with the motorized and manual stages of other
manufacturers designed for inverted microscopes.

4-well multi-sensor based microscope
stage incubator
|
Our 4-well incubator can admit four Petri dishes with a diameter
of 35 mm, which makes possible the long-term observation of four
independent tissue cultures.
Each Petri dish is sandwiched by a pair of ITO-coated glass discs.
4+2 temperature sensors and corresponding heating units built into
the incubator provides solid basis for professional live cel imaging.
Temperature accuracy: 37 +/- 0.1 °C. Water condensation free
surfaces enable you to capture permanently sharp time-lapse images.
We suggest to use this incubator on a 2D motorized microscope stage.
Our 4-well incubator was developed at the Department of Biological
Physics, Eötvös University, Budapest.

Objective lens heating ring
|
We manufacture specific size heating rings perfectly fitting
your objective lens. Low working distance and/or high diameter
objectives need additional heating because the proximity of the room
temperature massive objective to the bottom of the stage incubator
can cool the spot above the lens by 1-2 °C, which may even result in
steaming up. Control module of the lens heating ring is integrated
into the incubator control box.

Optional modules that can be integrated
into the Control Box
Lamp module
|
Lamp module controls the halogen lamp or other simply switchable
lamp of your microscope. (Fluorescent excitation light sources, e.g.,
mercury lamps cannot be switched frequently.) Both our vmc software
and the joystick can address the lamp module.

Fluorescent shutter module
|
Fluorescent shutter module is able to control the shutter gating
the fluorescent excitation light in fluorescent time-lapse
experiments, i.e., excitation light will hit the sample in synchrony
with camera exposition. Both the vmc software and the joystick can
adress the shutter module.

CO2 valve module
|
CO2 valve module was developed to easily control the gas inlet
into the incubator using the vmc software or joystick. Our
incubators are hermetically closed, which means that normally gas
injection is needed only in every third hour for a few seconds.
